SLOWMADE
Slowmade is our conscious, process-oriented approach to artistic work.
We don’t work against time, but with it – allowing ideas to grow and projects to unfold organically.
One guiding question accompanies us:
How can we create dance and art without exhausting the environment? This question touches not only on the materials we use, but also on our movements themselves. How do we place our feet on the ground, knowing that the Earth is our shared home – a place not to trample, but to walk on with care?
For us, Slowmade also means that art emerges through togetherness: through real encounters, exchange, and shared processes. We design our costumes by hand – we draw the sketches ourselves, making our path visible and carrying it all the way to the stage. Whenever possible, we make conscious material choices – whether it's selecting fabrics or sending postcards printed on recycled paper.
Sustainable decisions are often a balancing act – between artistic vision, financial realities, and ecological awareness. But it is precisely in this tension that we find creative potential: Finding ways to make a difference, even on a small scale.
Slowmade reminds us that art grows with time –and that its vitality lies in this slow unfolding.
